I did only the tour of Labor & Delivery & Postpartum--I think they offer those every Sunday at 4 or 5? You had to sign up though.

I went the 1st week in May and found it to be very informative. There were about 20 other woman with their moms or their partners or both. They had great questions and the midwives were very knowledgeable and skilled. Then we broke up into groups and toured the L&D and post partum areas....both beautiful. The only things I didn't like were that they only allow 2 people in the labor room, all guests must wait on the 5th floor/main floor of the hospital while you deliver on the 8th floor and the NICU is on the 8th floor but post partum is a huge walk across the hospital. Other than that, I was very pleased with the midwives and with Stonybrook. Enjoy yourself and don't be afraid to ask lots of questions. They were really helpful for everyone to hear.
