Stomach Virus question

So it seems like DD has a stomach virus. She threw up 2x last night, once this morning, and once this afternoon I spoke to the doctor who told me to give her 4oz of pedialyte in .5oz increments until 5pm. I've trying but she just won't take it. I got her to drink about 3/4oz of water and now she is sleeping. I will try the pedialyte again when she wakes up, hoping that she will be less cranky. Any advice on how to get her to drink it. I've tried a bottle, sippy cup, and medicine dropper It's orange flavored. should I get the unflavored?

I was just in the same spot a week ago. Tried the plain - she couldn't stand it. I found grape was best, but my DD (13 months) never took it willingly. I ended up using the vitamin dropper & calling it her "medicine". Then, I'd lean her against me, tip her back a bit & squirt a bit in her mouth. After the first couple of droppers-full, she was more willing to take it.

Another idea (I haven't tried it) is make pedialyte ice chips.
