Stomach Bug?

Has anyone ever had a stomach bug in pregnancy? I have been running to the bathroom all day. (Not vomiting- sorry tmi). I think it must have been something I ate. I called my ob's office and they told me to call my primary. I called my primary and he said to follow BRAT and rest and stay hydrated. I'm afraid of this affecting the little one. Plus the cramps are make me nervous. I'm 20 weeks.

I caught a 24 hour stomach bug back in April and also was vomiting in addition to what you have. I couldn't keep anything down and my obgyn stressed the importance of drinking water and staying hydrated because if not, that's when the problems start. So even though I felt like death warmed over, I made sure to drink. I really didn't eat anything that day but the next day, I drank Gatorade, ate plain toast and Cheerios (no milk).

I went to the obgyn later in the week to make sure baby was ok because I was so violently ill. Everything was fine but I totally understand your concern.

Stay hydrated, feel better, and definitely make an appt with your dr if it will give you peace of mind.

I caught a stomach bug 4 months pregnant and it was HORRIBLE

I was running to the bathroom and throwing up so violently that I broke blood vessels around my mouth. I called the doctor because I couldnt keep anything down... he said to just try to take small sips as I needed to keep hydrated. My SO got me gatorade and saltine crackers... I nibbled very little and had to take tylenol as I developed stomach cramps. The doctor said it was my intestines that were causing the cramping. It lasted about 24-48 hours and I was still weak after the throwing up stopped.

Good luck! Im sorry ur feeling horrible... I was also afraid I was hurting the baby. Just make sure u try to stay hydrated even if it does cause u to throw up.

I did about 2 months ago. I've never been so sick in my life. I was told to rest and stay hydrated. Call doc if you can't keep anything down for 24hrs+. Feel better!!

I caught a stomach bug around 25 weeks (throwing up-sorry if TMI) I was worried about the same thing, but I drank ginger ale constantly and water as soon as I could take it.

Thanks girls! I'm just taking it easy and drinking lots of water. I'm glad to know baby will be ok- I jut figured if it was something I ate it would go to baby too.
