Re: still not eating meat!!
I am a vegetarian-- so I can try to help in the protein department.
If you are going to eat pasta-- I suggest Barilla Plus-- it has a lot of protein per serving, as well as fiber.
Try throwing in some beans to a salad or pasta... I eat black beans with everything. Also, you can make an egg white omelette with beans, and organic cheese-- along with some whole wheat bread-- again, a lot of protein.
I also make my own pizza or quesadillas-- using tortilla wraps. The brand is called Soyful and they are low in calorie and have like 8 grams of protein-- add some cheese and beans-- and a side salad and i's a great dinner.
I also love cous cous-- again, throw a bunch of stuff in here. I like lentils in my cous cous. I also add in edamame beans for additional protein, along with a bunch of veggies and currants.
For nights when you don't want to cook-- Kashi makes great frozen pizza. The mediterrean flavor is so good you won't believe it's frozen. It has a ton of protein in it-- in fact, I love Kashi products because they all have a lot of protein. Amy's also makes a lot of great frozen products.
You can also always do a veggie burger-- you'll have to experiment with which kind you like. I like Morning Star farms vegan.
During the day-- eat yogurts-- greek yogurt is great, also nosh on nuts (raw). Also, hummus and cheeses.

Re: still not eating meat!!
You are ok, you can get protein from another source. I've not been enjoying meat either, I rarely eat it now.. and I used to be a medium-rare steak girl!

Re: still not eating meat!!
im vegetarian also, although this baby would like me to believe otherwise, with my lil sudden white castle binge a few weeks ago (dont you all worry, i threw that up like a champ lolllll)
i would say to be conscious of cheese, milk, beans, yogurt, cottage cheese...theres alot of ways to get protein without eating meat... soy based products, etc.
I LOVE veggie burgers, my fave are the dr praegers...try em out, alil cheddar and sliced avocado and lettuce with some ketchup on a bun... mmmmmmmmmmmmm

Re: still not eating meat!!
I havent eaten meat either.. or at least VERY rarely and Im 23 weeks tomorrow.
I have had such horrible food aversions my entire pregnancy and barely find ANYTHING appetizing... especially not meat.
I just try to get protein elsewhere.

Re: still not eating meat!!
Definitely follow the other vegetarians advice... just make sure that portion wise, you are getting enough protein....
and for the newly vegetarian, eating some animal protein is best (eggs, dairy) because all amino acids are present. as long as you do that, and then eat more beans and nuts, you'll be fine
I love meat, yet couldn't eat it (or veggies!) during my first trimester... but for me it went away by around 13 weeks or so.... all of my protein came from dairy at that point

Re: still not eating meat!!
I hardly ate ANY meat my entire pregnancy. I just didn't want it and I am a big meat eater. I managed to eat white meat but red meat was taboo.

Re: still not eating meat!!
I could not be in the same room as raw meat or chicken for my entire pregnancy. I did not eat either of them for 6 months. Then one day I had a craving for chicken and soon after red meat. My DH had to cook seperate meals for me too. My DS was born a healthy 7 lbs 14 oz.

I just want to say, I think it's so "funny" that when you are a vegetarian, and pregnant (or actually even not pregnant)-- people question the fact that you are not going to eat meat- as if you are doing something bad for your body and your baby.
And here we have all these meat eaters, who choose not to eat meat anyway!

Re: still not eating meat!!
I'm the same. I've always been like that. I eat meat, but not nearly enough. I don't even have any adversions to it like last pregnancy. I try to eat eggs, cheese to make up for it. I also have a high protien bread that I try to eat often w/peanut butter. Or I'll make a chick pea salad. I've been into a glass of milk lately too which is odd since I never really drank it plain before. Yogurt is good too.

Re: still not eating meat!!
I don't eat any red meat...I do eat chicken though. There are a lot of other ways to get protein, as the other posters said. I stopped eating red meat about 2 years ago, and I'm glad that burgers still dont look good to me!

I am sorry, but I do not think it's "funny" to have food aversions. IMHO being a vegetarian is a wonderful thing (my mom is a vegetarian, and so are some of my very close friends), but it doesn't work for everyone. And just because someone is different than you, doesn't mean they are wrong or vice versa. I hope I don't sound snippy, but this just reminded me of the fact that some people decide to wait to find out the gender and some don't and then pass judgment on each other for their personal choice. I just wish we can all keep an open mind.
I am really sorry if anybody has made you feel you are doing something bad for your body or your baby just because you choose to be a vegetarian. Those people should probably educate themselves on the subject matter before passing judgment on others.

Re: still not eating meat!!
I have a similar food aversion with this pregnancy and had the same thing when I was pregnant with DS. I can't eat most meat or eggs. Someone suggested Barilla Plus which was a great idea because of the protein. Pasta and other carbs also seems to help with my m/s. Not that you asked about that!
