Still looking to buy an old Beetle or Karmen Ghia

If anyone knows of one for sale or if anyone knows of someone that has an OLd Beetle or Karmen Ghia please let me know about it.

I have been looking for a while now and I have only found some scary cars that need too much work.

I am looking for a 1967 to 1979, good running condition, little to no rust, Beetle, super beetle, or karmen Ghia....

I dont want to spend more than $2500. If needs some work, thats ok.

I found one in levittown, but I havent been able to get in touch with the owner, since he told me the other day that I can see it this weekend. It is a 68, and it has a rebuilt motor, and it needs some body work.

I saw an old beetle at the gas station on the corner of Wantagh Ave and Jerusalem Ave, across from the KFC. I think it was in the year range that you are looking for!

My first car was a '74 Green Super Beetle!!

HATED it then, but would kill to have that car back!!

I know a guy around the corner from me had one for sale in his driveway - but about a week ago - he put it in the garage but I know it still has for sale on it. If I see the guy I will ask him about it

I am going to look at the one in levittown possibly today, and then I also have a line on a 72 Flat windshield Super beetle in Lindenhurst that I am waiting to get pictures of.

I would rather get a 67-70 Beetle. I love the look of the 67

If you know someone looking to restore a 67 convertible, let me know.

My friend has a nice one that he wants $1500 for. It needs a lot of work though.

This is what it needs:

Floor
Wire Harness
Top
Drivers window needs to be fixed
Not sure if it runs - will probably need engine work.

The car is garaged now.

Brakes all around

It will also need paint. It used to be white. It was painted green, not sure when though. The paint is chipping and you can see the white coming through.

My uncle has been restoring a '73 Karmann Ghia for the past year and a half. He had it painted a metallic burnt orange and is currently working on the motor.

I know this doesn't answer your question, but I thought I'd share.

Oh...my cousin bought it for him off of ebay for $1200. It was a mess when they got it, but it's coming along nicely.

SWEET - I love the KARMANN GHIA, and I wish I could find one, but they are sooo rare, and hard to find....In good shape, they are expensive.

Someone on LIF has one.....
