Still jerky at 6 months????

I'm posting alot today! Chat Icon

Jacob is still being swaddled in that damn miracle blanket at night mainly for his arms. But he is waking so much the past few nights. I am noticing that he is hating the blanket and I really dont blame him. But i have tried to take him out of it completely and his ARMS AND HANDS just will not settle down. So then i tried the one arm in, one out, and he was ok for about an hour then when he went to change postitions the free arm went wild and starting swinging and flailing and banging on the mattress and then he hits himself in the head, or is pulling his own hair or scratching his face. So back in the blanket he went.

I know he may be waking more due to teething, since he has been very cranky latley so i gave him so childrens motrin before bed last night and he even woke alot after taking that. Seems he has just wanted me to hold him and rock him and although I do not want to create bad sleep habits at the same time I feel bad because I know how it feels to want your mommy and after losing mine as a child it is hard for me to not go to him. But my main question is, was anyone else's baby's arms still so jerky and unsettled at 6 months?? I'm gonna bring it up to the ped next week but its getting ridiculous if you ask me. Even when I feed him a bottle, his arms (usually one) will hit his head, or punch himself in the abdomen or punch the couch. It is just so weird. Chat Icon Anyone experience this???????? Re: Still jerky at 6 months????

Yes...Alyson flails all the time.

She kicks her legs out and then slams them down in her crib. Taking a bottle she'll be settled, but has to reach up to touch my face or my hair or the bottle....has to touch something.
She can be spastic sometimes...she does hit herself in the belly or hits herself in the face, even holding a toy sometimes.

Flailing is a precursor to crawling
