steam mops

Those of you who have them do you use them on your wood floors? there are so many mixed opinions on that!

If you do, how oftern? do your floors still look good? does it look like its ruining them?

I use them on my wood floors. Maybe once a month. They still look great! Then again DH installs/finishes wood floors so he can always add a coat of poly when they are looking kinda dull.

ETA: I think he's only done so once though- right before our wedding in May.

it matters on the wood floors you have - if you have prefinished floors - ie the poly coat is on each indiviual board and not overall then the water can get below and warp them

i do not use on ours because we have prefinished but it does a good job on my parents floor -they don't look dull after using it and they are not slippery

i use it on my wood (all throughout the house) & my marble tile in the bathroom (marble looks gorg after its steamed) i used to do it 1x per week, but now its every 2-3 weeks. floors look great!!!! my mom uses it on her tile and it looks amazing (shes got light tile and grout in their family room and drink stains comeout of the grout very nicely)

I use it on the wood floors and find it to be the best option to really get them clean. My floors are OLD though so they often look dull no matter what I do, so every few months I use a wood restorer product to shine them up again.

i LOVE it on my tile... but i actual bought it to use on the wood and then got scared! i think i will start using it on the wood! its just so easy to do!
