Staying in/near Boston
Any of the surrounding areas I want to AVOID for a one night stay? Not going to stay in the city b/c those prices are nuts even for weeknights! But don't want to be fearing for my life either. I don't know the area well so any feedback is appreciated. The plan is to drive in from the West (Staying at Great Wolf Mass) and go to the aquarium that day, stay over and hit the children's museum the next. So, a little west, south or north of the city is fine.

Have you checked out Quincy? You might want to steer clear of Jamaica Plains and Brockton area.
Depending on what you want to do, Depends on where you could stay. Personally, I would stay in Hingham and ferry to Boston.
