Staying cool..
What is everyone doing to stay cool in the summer? I always had a rough time with the summer. The heat always gets to me. I woke up and mowed the front and back lawn. After that I felt sick almost all day. I definitely drank enough water but the heat must have just kicked my butt!!! I am only 3 months a long. I feel for all you ladies that are super pregnant!

Re: Staying cool..
I am just about 34w and doing great. I have always been one of those people who is always cold, and pregnancy really hasn't been very different!
Sleeping though I am very thankful for my AC. I feel for girls who might not have it.

This exactly. I am just drinking a ton of fluids and using the ceiling and regular fan. The belt on our Central Air popped(waiting for a call back from the service tech).

I'm kind of like this too and at 32 weeks, doing pretty ok. Though last night was pretty warm (don't have the AC in yet- DH will probably take care of that today.)
But we were outside most of yesterday and while I was hot, it wasn't unbearable . Mostly worried about my feet swelling.

Re: Staying cool..
28w and I spent the whole day at Woodbury commons yesterday. For the most part it was a great day. A little warm but I kept hydrated.

Staying cool..
I'm 36 weeks and have been blasting the AC since pretty much March!! The past few days I just pump the AC (we don't pay for electric). DH is FREEZING but it's better then me being hot. I drink ALL DAY LONG. I went to my parents yesterday and I was sweating and they had the AC on. My family was FREEZING and even had to turn the degrees up on the AC because they couldn't take it anymore. I just figure I have 4 more weeks or so, so I am trying to just bare with it. I went to the NKOTB, 98 Degrees, and Boys II Men concert last night and thought I was going to die of heat!!
Just stay hydrated and try to keep wherever you are as cool as possible without it starting to snow LOL!

Re: Staying cool..
I ran REALLY hot even before I was pregnant and it's getting worse. My extremities always swell from the heat so I am taking precautions. I couldn't even do 1 night with the heat before I went and bought an AC for the bedroom.
I think I will be spending all my time in the ice cold bedroom until September I also think I need to rethink an August shower

Re: Staying cool..
I had no idea what to expect because I've always been someone who loves the summer and thrives in the heat... never complains about it being too warm.
It's already a different case and it's not even 'summer' yet.
I stayed inside as much as possible during the last few days... keeping the air on at my house as much as possible. Drinking lots of ice cold water.
Also I basically walk in the house after work and strip down and spend the rest of the evening walking around in a pair of gym shorts and sports bra.

Re: Staying cool..
Lots of A/C and water, lots of baby power to help with the sweating/chafing, very lightweight clothes, and stripping when I get home. We looked at an apartment in Long Beach yesterday and it was actually SO nice and breezy because you get the breeze of the bay and ocean - if we end up living there I think that will help

me too (except I'm 32w almost). I'm normally freezing all the time (even when pregnant) so the heat is a nice change for me after a long winter. I might turn on the AC for a few hours before bed to cool my bedroom & then shut it when I go to sleep & turn on a fan for a breeze so I don't get too sweaty overnight.

Staying cool..
I've been spending these hot days outside spraying LO and myself down with the hose. Lol. That and thank god for central AC.
