starting yogurt...a couple questions

At DD's 6 month check-up yesterday the doctor said to start yogurt. Among my many questions, I forgot to ask for more specifics on this one and don't want to call around the holidays b/c it is so busy for everyone.

What flavor of yogurt do you start with? use? I'll get any YoBaby out there, but plain, vanilla, flavored?

Do I mix her lunch into the yogurt, along with the formula and cereal? give it separately?

Thanks!

I used Yo-baby any flavor. I gave it to her for lunch by itself. She started with 1/2 a container and now eats the entire thing.

Re: starting yogurt...a couple questions

I just started yogurt a few days ago. I bought the yo baby yogurt in vanilla and banana. I give him 1/2 yogurt at lunch and 1/2-1 jar of fruit. I don't mix it together. HTH!
He really likes it, so I may give him a whole jar soon. I wanted to start off with 1/2 because it is made with whole milk (he had a lactose problem and is on sensitive formula)

Re: starting yogurt...a couple questions

I've been giving different flavors of YoBaby to DS (he's 8 months). However, I only give him the flavors of foods that I've tested for allergies (i.e. peach, pear, etc.) He eats it between meals every once in a while and only a half container at a time. I don't want to give him a full container yet because he might replace it as his meal instead of drinking his milk.

Re: starting yogurt...a couple questions

I started with the YoBaby plain. Then I tried the flavors now I just tried teh one with cereal and fruit in it. DD really loves it, and sometimes will eat the whole thing!

Re: starting yogurt...a couple questions

I started with YoBaby Plain, then the fruit flavored. DD loves it so much that I gave up on YoBaby due to cost and buy her Trader Joes Organic Whole Milk Vanilla Yogurt.
