Starting IVf
We are starting our IVF cycle next week and are thrilled! any tips or advice that you wish someone had told you about IVF?

my best advice is to breathe
the box of meds can be scary and so can the amount of meds and the injections and the appts
but it all becomes second nature and before u know it u r at the transfer

good luck. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Yes, seeing this huge box of meds was scary, but the whole process from start to finish wasn't terribly horrible.

Lots of luck! Go with the flow, keep positive and if you have any questions about anything just ask the nurse, your Dr. or here. It can be very overwhelming at first, but once you get your calendar, it'll go very quickly!

Breathe, the first day looks a little daunting, and by day 2, you're an old Pro! My advice is don't be embarrassed to ask too many questions- you're not a pain in the butt, and better safe than stupid. Stay positive, and buy some leggings or stretchy pants... you may need them ;)

Honestly I think what's important is to just go in with reasonable expectations.. Even though IVF is such a bid step that really increases your chances, nobody knows if this is "going to be it for sure". For some it is, for others it isn't. If it isn't, you learn more about your body and move on to round two, and if it is... well then you're damnn lucky, so you just count your lucky stars and run with it! (spoken like a true IVF vet  )
