We finally finally finally had 99% of our front shrubs completely cleaned out. It was full of old, half-dead azaleas, poison ivy, pachysandra taking over, and just an overgrown mess. I left the Euonymous (sp) and 1 azalea, b/c it's a funky color. If I posted the picture correctly, there are actually 2 separate beds. One is right in front of the house, then there's a cement path, then another 2-3ft deep bed.
Now what?! I definitely don't want it overcrowded. Maybe some ornamental grasses, a small weeping tree, a couple of boulders. I want to keep it clean. I want to have one area for seasonal things, like mums, tulips, etc.

I'll do the bulbs in the fall, but should we wait until spring for the majority of things?
I'm so excited about this! Can't believe we put it off so long.
