Started potty training DD this weekend (sorry, long)
Just wanted to share my story, hopefully it will help someone else with a stubborn little diva like mine. DD is 3 1/2 and it was driving me crazy that she was still in diapers. DH and I both work full time and I was feeling all sorts of mommy guilt. Friday I came home from work and we took off the diaper and put on big girl underwear, rolled up my area rug and put down a couple of shower curtain liners from the dollar store. Well that didn't go very well, she had some accidents and started crying for her diaper. I did not cave! The next morning we tried again, and again more accidents. After talking to my sister she suggested just letting her run around in just a shirt because maybe she thought the underwear was like a diaper. So her little naked butt was running around, and then it happened - she cried the pee pee is coming out, so she ran to her little potty and went! She was scared like she thought she was doing something wrong. But I kept telling her it was ok and praising her for going on the potty. After that she was going pee on the potty all day, with the exception of one little accident. Sunday she woke up dry and went right on the potty. Later in the day she even pooped with out me having to ask if she had to go! She woke up dry again today and has been going regularly on the potty. She is now in a pull-up but it has been dry all day! I was so stressed for the first full day, but I had to remember not to get mad or yell at her. I was rewarding her for just sitting on the potty with 2 M&M's. For going pee pee she gets 6 M&M's and for poop she gets a small toy. I am so relieved it is going well so far.

Congrats. Potty training to me was the hardest thing and the most stressful.
I don't know if it will happen for you but my DS had a hard time going back ad forth with a pull up. It confused him so we just threw out anything diaper like.

That's great. I trained DS 1 right before 3 1/2 and the first day was horrible and the second day it just clicked (other than number 2 which took a little longer).
DS 2 is almost 3 1/2 and has no desire - need to start working on that!

I was quite surprised she even pooped, I was ready for a long battle with that one.
DS is only 1 right now, hoping to have him trained before 3 - we'll see how it goes.
