that's such a sad story though... although that kid had a cult following, he was humiliated and needed major therapy after that video was leaked.

I'm thinking he needed therapy long before the video was made. I'm glad he got help, but I don't think he should have gotten a settlement.
He's also now a youtube icon & was a good sport about it according to interviews.
There is a rule about crap like this - if you don't want to get made fun of - don't tape yourself.

Really?! I did not know this. Now I feel bad.
You learn something new everyday.
They filed a lawsuit and won... the kid was pulled out of school... but hopefully one day he could look back & realize how much people appreciated him... There was a petition by a bunch of star wars geeks to get him in one of the new star wars movies. That video makes me laugh every time..

why do you think he needed therapy before the video?
He was just a goofy kid fooling around in his school's video studio..
he was a KID... imagine the humiliation he went through after that video was leaked. I remember a quote by him that he just wanted his life back..I'm sure he learned to deal with it and laugh at himself to cope, but I don't know what 15 year old would want that kind of attention..
