squirrels and trash cans
I just went to throw out some trash and noticed the handle to the lid almost chewed through and lots of plastic bits all over the floor.
Any suggestions? TIA

Looking for ideas too! They get into our garbage ALL the time. We have resorted to putting it in the garage, but I don't like that. Even when we put it out the night before garbage day, they get into them and trash is everywhere. Funny because it's ONLY us, no one else on our street

Pour ammonia over it...usually works!

Re: squirrels and trash cans
That could be Raccoons too, though they are usually pretty adept at getting lids off and tipping cans.

Re: squirrels and trash cans
Yeah, most likely not a squirrel - more like a raccoon. The ammonia will work or put a bungee over the top and they won't even bother with it.
