Spray Insulation
I live in a split level and the the basement under the main level is not insulated at all and we are really starting to feel it with this weather lately.
Has anyone ever had the spray foam installed in their house? Debating between hiring someone to do it professionally and sending DH to Home Depot to buy the old fashioned insulation.
If so, any idea ballpark the cost for spray insulation?
Thanks

Re: Spray Insulation
We had it done in our basement. It is much more expensive then the Fiberglass stuff but in my opinion well worth it. We did 3 inches and it seals air pockets so no drafts. Its resistant to mold so don't have to worry about that. Its sound deading and when you use 3 inches you don't need a vapor barrier. We used New York Spray foam and they were great. FM if you need any other info.

Re: Spray Insulation
I did it but don't remember who did it now.
I highly recommend it.
