SPR: So yesterday I get a delivery from Mrs. Fields
And it was addressed to the previous owner's daughter. I decided to open the box and see if their was a card so when I spoke to Mrs. Fields I knew what I was talking about. The card said they were so sorry and sad to hear about her brother. Well, Mrs. Fields told me to keep the cookies and they would contact the sender for me (although I will not be purchasing from them again because she said they will need to purchase another basket even after I told her it was a condolence basket).
I just spoke to my DH who spoke to our neighbore this morning. Their poor son, 27 years old, was on his motercyle last Friday on his way to the Hamptons. He lost control of the bike and was thrown from it. While thrown he was hit by a truck. The closed the road for 3 hours and he didn't make it for medi-vac.
So please say a prayer for the parents and this young man.

My dh's good childhood friend was killed on his motorcycle a few years ago

The people up here ride like animals... They do tricks on their bikes and its really horrbible and then they wonder why bad things happen.. weave in and out of the lanes.
My husband is no saint.. he would do 120 on the back of the bike with me..
JERK I was young and said weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee fun..

That is so sad. Poor family.
Motorcycles scare me in so many ways but I see some people (not to say this guy) who seem to think they are invincible on them...that is really scary.

so so sad and scarey....I know way to many people that have either been seriously injured or killed on bikes. I have 6 brothers, and I think they all tried out a motorcycle at one time or another. Yes they are fun, I loved riding too when I was younger, but just too dangerous. Eventually each brother had an accident, and it scared them enough to stop riding.
