SPR - I miss my house

I'm trying to be a big girl about this, but almost 2 weeks later, I really miss being in my OWN house.

It's wonderful that my aunt and uncle have opened up their home to us, but there really is no place like home.

I ran home on my lunch break the other day to check on some things (DH has been dealing with the house issues and he had to travel for business this week) and I felt like a stranger in my own home. Granted, there are huge, loud machines in almost every room trying to get every last drop of water out of the walls, and things are all covered with heavy plastic tarp - but it's still my HOME.

I miss the nights that DH and I would just lay on the couch watching TV together.

I miss giving James his bedtime bottle in his own room.

I miss chasing our crazy little dog around our dining room table.

I miss my teeny tiny little kitchen.

I just miss it all.

We *should* be back in towards the end of next week, I HOPE! We might have to vacate again when they do the construction on the inside - I don't want James around the plaster and sheetrock dust.

you'll be there b4 you know it and this whole mess will be way behind you. Maybe one day laugh about it or just a good story when James is older.

I'm sorry. I know first hand how hard it is, we were out for 4 months and it SUCKED!!! I hope you get to go back soon.
