Spotting after internal ultrasound?
I went yesterday for a sono. I am 6 weeks and we saw the heartbeat. Today I have some light spotting. The internal hurt when he checked my ovaries. Is spotting after an internal normal?

Did you have a pap done? I have read other girls bled from that.

With this pregnancy I spotted but not from a sono. With my last pregnancy i spotted after my first sono at just over 6 weeks. Dr said it was completely normal.

Dont worry some spotting after an internal sono or internal exam is normal... Your cervix is tender and any minor irritation to it will cause you to spot... If you have any concerns call your dr...

My dr warned me of possible bleeding during my first internal.. He did a pap that day too... I was on the look out but it didn't happen. But it's normal

I didn't have a pap but he was way up there with the wand bc I was having a dull pain in my ovary so he had to make sure there wasn't another pregnancy in the tube. Im hoping it's just irritation. I'm pretty nauseous today so that makes me feel a little less nervous.

My doc warned me during the sono that i may have spotting afterwards, and that its normal.
