"Sports" team help

My wife and I do not watch sports (I watch the NBA finals and the finals of the tennis majors) and DD has not been exposed to sports yet.

Her preschool is having a "Jersey" day - where the kids are supposed to wear jerseys or sports uniforms.

Any ideas?

I took a quick look on amazon and did not see any Michael Jordan jerseys (guess its been too long for him)
Maybe a Hello Kitty jersey?

Is something like this too boyish for my 3 year old DD?

Danke!

I would just pick up a Mets or Yankees t-shirt at Target!

Re: "Sports" team help

We just got a pink Yankees tee on amazon. Jerseys are expensive and not very feminine IMO

If she likes paw patrol I would get it for her- it's silly to say she can't have it because it's "for boys."

I would think, though, that jersey day is to support your favorite team. You said you watch the NBA finals- whose your favorite team? I think a sports t-shirt is fine, I don't think you need to go the $$ for a jersey. I also don't think it needs to be pink- my DD is never without a bow and usually covered in ruffles and even I put her in a (boys) Giants shirt for sports day (with a Giants headband, obviously!) Get whatever you can find and is cheapest.

Re: "Sports" team help

I agree with a sports t-shirt. DS's school have spirits week, and a couple of years ago a friend with a daughter borrowed one of my DS's Mets t-shirt for her daughter for the sports day. I have seen a lot of teams sports t-shirts in Old Navy. No need to go expensive, IMO

Same! I'd do a local sports team. But it doesn't matter if it's boyish. DD has worn just a regular Mets or Giants jersey.

Cute picture.

I think a tshirt will the cheapest outfit.

As for the NBA finals - I was a fan of neither team, but the Cavs were the least disliked option :)
