Splitting up the MMR- Measles side effects?

If you split your childs MMR, do you remember if they had any side effects from the measle shot. My son is getting the shot on Thursday, and we are going away next Weds. Thanks!

I'm not a dr so I would definitely ask your ped this but I would think they could still have the same reaction (since it is a reaction to the measles portion I think most kids get) since it is the same shot just not giving three things into one. The reaction 7-14 days later is to the virus so I would think it could happen either way?

Wow---thats a very high fever...did they say it was as a result of the shot?

I am not sure if I should give him the shot this Thurs, or wait till we get back.
