spinoff to work rant - bathroom use
My husband thinks i'm insane but I will not go #2 at work. I work in a very small building (within a complex) literally the size of a double wide trailer with 3 other people. One woman just has no shame and goes every day and sprays febreeze which everyone can smell. You can also hear everything!

Unfortunately, sometimes it can't be helped.
I have no gallbladder and I also have IBS so it isn't always a luxury I have to wait until I get home.
My bathroom going has no schedule.
Like the children's book says- "Everybody poops!"

i understand being uncomfortable if it's a small work space.
i, too, do not have a gallbladder and when i gotta go, i gotta go. i have issues about bathroom matters (have all my life), but i also have to think of my health. trying to hold it in so long is not good for me.
i like GoldenRod's take on it lol

I also have IBS (-D) and am lactose intolerant, so sometimes it can't be helped. I often wonder if I am known as "one of those people". But, oh well. I try not to get into the situation, but its really sometimes beyond my control.

I hated going #2 at work. I worked in a large office, but there were always women chatting in there, either with each other or on their cell phones. Unfortunately, it sometimes can't wait.

I suppose the classier thing to do is to run to the Mobil station down the street when you have to take a dump at work.
Apparently work bathrooms are for #1 only.
I didn't get that memo though...

Seriously! I never realized people were judging what you do in a bathroom as an adult

We have one of these too. She sprays real perfume though and we all gag. She was asked to stop. Like you said, we would prefer the poo over the stench of cheap perfume.

That's what bathrooms are for.
When you gotta go, you gotta go.
I don't like air fresheners, they do nothing to "hide" the smell, which will dissipate on its own in a few minutes. Not allowed in the bathroom on my side of the floor, too many women have allergies / asthma, and I had a severe reaction to one of those automatic sprayers last year.

I don’t judge what people do in a public bathroom. What I do judge is when I enter a public bathroom and there’s pee all over the seat or floor, or poo still sitting in the toilet, or blood anywhere in sight. I mean COME ON.
Do what you have to do, but clean up after!

This. At my old office, there were multiple culprits. Leaving "you name it" on the toilet, in the toilet and NEXT TO THE TOILET! Our cleaning lady came out of there crying one day because she couldn't believe what she was expected to clean up.
I say it all the time - women are filthy in public bathrooms. I always wonder if it's because they do everything at home and they just DGAF when out. I dunno. I do know that people are usually quite glad to get a stall after me because I clean up after myself. I wish more people cared even a little bit for their fellow human

I have crohn's so I tend to need to but I politely flush as things happen.. some women don't give a single eff. LOL. My old co-worker cracked me up once when she told me she kept a set of "bathroom flats" in her drawer so that no one could tell if they looked at the stall it was her bc she would literally change her shoes!
