Spinoff to What Classes are you taking?
For those of you who took a BF class, did you find it helpful? And, did DH attend with you?

Thanks for asking this.... I don't have an answer, but I'm wondering this also - did/will DH go with you to a BF class?
I'm also wondering where you are taking classes. I know I can take a BF class at Stony Brook, where I'll be delivering. And I've heard of CFA, although the classes seem a little expensive. Any suggestions? Since I'm delivering at SB, could I take classes at another hopsital?

There are 2 offered at NSUH, I want to take both part one and part 2. I'd like DH to come with me to the first one since it's the basics of BFing, but it depends on his schedule. The later one I'm taking more for me and adjusting my life to BFing... like working and pumping... not sure DH would get much out of it. He's supportive enough that I don't think he needs the second class.

I don't know if DH is coming with me. I mentioned it and he really didn't want to, but will if I make him. I just don't know if he will benefit from it at all.
I live in westchester so I will go somewhere up here. They often have classes at Destination Maternity or I will go to one through the hospital. I would think you can take the class wherever you want. HTH

I'm taking a non-hospital based BF class next Monday- the website says "partners should attend this class with mothers to be"... he's actually excited to go- I think they'll include a good amount of info as to how to include the dads in the experience of BFing. I live in the city & I know here you can take your classes where you choose, regardless of where you're delivering. GL
