spinoff to washing hands
Now that it is winter, do you reapply lotion EVERY time you wash your hands? I'm on a water kick so I go to the bathroom and wash my hands a lot now. I find that it's a waste to use lotion but then if I don't, my hands get dry. At work they don't have nice, moisturizing soap.
Any suggestions? What do you do for your hands during the day?

They just switched to this great pink soap so I don't have to lotion my hands BUT I used to bring my own soap into the bathroom.

Re: spinoff to washing hands
avon has a lotion called sillicone gloves that is supposed to leave a protective coating on your hands if you they are going to be in water a lot. I don't know if it works but I have very dry hands and everyone seems to be recommending it to me.

I might have to as well. What is worse is that I work with birds, and birds poop A LOT. So I wash my hands A LOT.

I love Burt's Bees hand salve. I forgot the actual name, but it is pretty light but it works really well. I'll have to find the tin.....

I just switched to Bath and Body Works Japanese Cherry Blossom. It is an Anti-Bacterial Moisturizing Hand soap with Green Tea Extract and Shea Butter. DH and I love it and it smells really good also.

I have excema so I bring my own soap when I go to the bathroom. The soap they supply is like washing your hands with sandpaper

Re: spinoff to washing hands
I am constantly washing my hands and I use Aveeno Intense Relief Hand Cream afterwards (when I remember to!). It actually says on the bottle "lasts through hand washing", and I find that it really seems to help hold the moisture in.

Not unless they're really dry! I hate how the lotion feels with my rings on. But i lather it on before going to bed!

It depends. Sometimes I need it, sometimes I don't.

Re: spinoff to washing hands
I only do lotion once a day, at night, but I don't have a big problem with dryness at all. If my hands got worse, I'd probably reapply more often.
