Spinoff to the Sledding Post: If you do go sledding where do you go?
Growing up on the South Shore there weren't many places to go so we were those people you see sledding on the on and off ramps of the highway.
Now that we live on the North Shore there are a few places down by the beach that we can go to. Ironically since moving to the NS we haven't gone sledding once.

I haven't gone on Long Island in years.
As a kid, we belonged to a golf club, so my dad would take us there to go sledding on the golf course. There was one REALLY awesome hill! It was always packed with kids.

Golf courses, park or a few schools by me.
Golf courses are better.

That's where we went - the Bay Shore Rd ramp on the Southern State Pkwy... north of the pkwy on the northbound side.

When I was younger we would go to the town park on Broadway in Brentwood. HUGE hill. We would also go to Hauppauge High School.

We used to go to the Sunrise Hwy overpass on Higbee Lane. We went down the BTJ's Jungle side!
