Spinoff to Tapas- WINE
I was looking at one of the menus (tapas restaurant) and saw that it cost $50 for a bottle of white that is sold in the liquor stores for $12-$19... I hate when the mark-up is so high!! I understand it is going to be higher in a restaurant but over 50% higher??? It seems absurd.
Does that annoy anyone else?

Ummmm YES! My BFF lives in Ridgewood, NJ and many of the restaurants there are BYOB/W and dinner costs 1/2 what it does here bc of it!

Not sure if they still have it but 21 Main had Wine Down Wednesdays with 1/2 price bottles (which brings the price down to the regular price  )

Yes!! Novita has this red wine I love and a bottle there is $52!! I can get it for $17 in the store!!!!

Its very annoying, but very very normal. many places have like 75% mark ups or even higher!! It is insane.
