Spinoff to NYC MTA

Yesterday DH and I finally went to Roosevelt for a tour. I got there about 10 min. early and was told to wait on the left hand side of the lobby. There were several other couples waiting also and there were no seats left. Not one of the husbands got up to offer me a seat!!! Chat Icon I was shocked!! I mean I kinda expect it from people on the train, but when you are sitting there next to your pregnant wife!!!!!

It was good. We weren't going to go, but finally decided that it couldn't hurt. I'm glad we went. They were very helpful and answered a lot of questions. We left the tour after the L&D portion because I know that I am not going to be using the Birthing Center. It sounded nice though.

People are rudeChat Icon

I was at my OB's office yesterday and I had my coat on, so you couldn't see my belly and this woman who was (if I could guess) about 5 months preggo actually DEMANDED my seatChat Icon Chat Icon

I said polietely that I had gotten there first and took off my coat so she could see my belly.

I wouldn't have even said that to someone NOW at 9 months preggo!!

I am not surprised. Honestly nobody has gone out of their way to be helpful to me during my pregnancy.

I am much closer to Columbia, but my Dr. practices out of Roosevelt and I really like her and her partners. I didn't have a problem with it, but now that I am so close I keep having dreams about not making it to the hospital in time!!!Chat Icon
