spinoff to my comforter question
If you bought a bedding set, where everything inside was neatly packaged and sealed and the bag it all came in the zippers were locked together by that tough string thing. Would you still wash the comforter and sheets?

I have. To softenen them up to"smell" fresh and clean.

yeah comforter is dry clean only. I think i'm going to wash the sheets regardless but everything else that came in the set. (22 pieces) is dry clean only.

I would only wash the sheets.
I never wash the comforter. To me, that is purely decorative (and I like them to remain crisp).
I turn my bed down before I go to bed and do not sleep with the "good" comforter.
Instead, I sleep with 2 nice and yummy goosefeather down comforters. those I do wash often.
