Spinoff to Mobile question
This might be silly but when do you use the mobile? Do you put it before a nap or as part of playtime? Does it help your DC fall asleep?
I've been debating getting one for DS's crib but I wasn't sure when to use it or if it would be too stimulating when I'm trying to get him to calm down and sleep.

we only put on if dd wakes up during the night and wont go back to sleep, usually if we hit the button twice then she passes out. We still havent tried putting her straight into the crib at night or naps in crib...  im sooo dreading that fight.

lately I have been using it while I take a shower----DS loves to watch it while awake, he hasn't really fallen asleep to it yet.

i use it when m DS wakes up from a nap. He loves looking at it but unfortunately it does NOTHING to put him to sleep

It's more of a play thing--it's way too stimulating to DS to help him sleep. He waves his arms around, thumps his legs in the crib.
The Fisher Price Aquarium is hsi sleep aide--it's quieter and not as stimulating.

we use ours when shes going to sleep...the music helps her fall asleep and there are dif music options...the mobile itself goes around a bit...stops...then goes again...guess its supposed to give them a chance to look at it without making them dizzy or something!
