How do we know if our insurance companies have deductables? I am very uninformed on all of this...

I have a deductible each year I have to meet.

Call. That's what I did. They told me exactly what I will need to pay out of pocket.

I'll also venture to guess there may be other things that are not covered, like the doctor's fee if she/he does your cord blood banking, if you choose to go that route.

I just called the number on the back of the insurance card. They told me all about deductables, etc... VERY informative.

And then the lady mailed me a congrats on your baby card. That was very sweet! Chat Icon

I did not have a deductible. I paid $15 for my first OB visit co-pay and then nothing until my $300 birth copay!
