Spinoff to Lauren's Waxing question, waxing virgin here.
I am a waxing virgin, but I figured that since my belly will be getting in the way of, ahem, any personal grooming soon........
Gimme the rundown of a bikini wax.
What do they do exactly? Do they know how much to wax or do you tell them? Do you, ummm, trim a little before you go? Do you take your pants totally off? And if I am sensitive to getting my eyebrows waxed, will I have a problem in the nether regions?
Thanks and sorry if some of these questions are silly.

you get into frog leg position, they smear hot wax on the areas and then yank it off with a strip of fabric. Then, they tweeze hairs they missed and then slather you with baby oil and powder. Next, you pay and tip the person for the deathly pain. Honestly...it helps if you breath in right before he/she is going to yank it, then exhale right at the rip. I also take Advil before I go. (Yes--pants off)

I'll try to wear a skirt so that I just have to hike it up instead of taking my pants off.

When I go, they tell me to take off my pants off and I get on the table. I just get a standard bikini wax, so I don't really have to tell them anything.
I think that the bikini wax hurts, but it's quick and the anticipation of it is worse....it's really no big deal!

Do they give you paper undies? You're not completely "exposed" are you?

no...you keep it on (I do) but you can pull the sides up or hold it out while they work. my waxer has never seen my eh hem...lady garden full on. she works around the underwear. i guess if you do Brazilian, you need to remove it. I wouldn't....

I feel once I started with the bikini wax, I ended up doing the whole thing.
The anticipation is def worse than the hurt. The good thing about it is it hurts righ that second and thats it. I take pants, everything off.
Don't trim or touch anything before you go. You will love it!!!!!

Your skin maybe a little bit more sensitive when you are pregnant. Your blood flow is increased, and the pain could be more. Some people don't see any difference, though.
