Spinoff to lady clipping her nails on the LIRR

What is it with people and their nails? I was at Mass one Sunday when a woman whipped out her nail file. Now I hate a hangnail as much as the next person but come on.Chat Icon

There is a time and a place and that place is AT HOME!!

This girl who started working in my office for about a few weeks whipped out her nail clippers and started clipping her toe nails at her desk. The girl who sat a cube away from her went ape sh$t about it and told everyone in the office. So nasty!

Re: Spinoff to lady clipping her nails on the LIRR

I only clip my nails at home in the bathroom (like you're supposed to), but my fingernails are thin and weak and if I happen to split a nail in public I have to file it right away. I've ruined clothes, stockings, etc. -- not to mention cutting myself -- because I tried to hold off filing a jagged nail. So when it has to be done, it has to be done.

Re: Spinoff to lady clipping her nails on the LIRR

if my nail breaks at work- I will file it- so I don't hurt myself, wreck a shirt or something

it happens alot when unpacking boxes of samples

it's pretty common in my office to see someone fixing a broken nail

however- I think that is different then clipping you nails, toe nails or giving yourself a manicure

I can see that but doing it at church just seemed disrespectful to me.

People are so nasty. Why would anyone even be carrying around a nailclipper with them? Do they think people enjoy walking on their clippings which are strewn on the ground? Yuck.
