spinoff to heels
Can 4" heels be comfortable? Is it that I just haven't found the right shoe? Or is it only the lucky people that can wear them?

Re: spinoff to heels
I sit a lot at work, so they don't bother me. Also, the one pair I just got has a rounded toe which I think helps. It would kill if I had to stand a lot in a pointy shoe with that high of a heel.

For me, it's the balls of my feet that begin to hurt. What do you suggest for this problem?

Re: spinoff to heels
I think it depends on the shape of your foot & the shape of the shoe, but everybody has their limits.
Chatham-Chick said she has 6 inch heels. If I stood on my tippy toes, I don't think my heel would be 6 inches of the ground, so that wouldn't work for me.
ETA- there are ball of foot pads you can get, but most likely, it jsut means that the heel is too high & putting yout foot at to much of an angle that is putting pressure on the ball of your foot.

It's wierd because I have high arches. So I would think I would be okay in heels.

They have gel things you can put towards the front of your shoe that will help cushion your foot a little.

Re: spinoff to heels
I think it depends on the person, what you've gotten used to, and what you're doing all day IN those shoes. -
I work in an office and have to wear a suit every day - I've been wearing HIGH heels since I'm 16 years old - I feel frumpy in a flat shoe or a short heel (I'm only 5'2" and not exactly a size 2, so it's also an "in my head"l thing for me !!) So I'm used to and comfortable wearing them all day, every day - and on the weekends too -
My sister is a stylist and on her feet ALL day, she'd never last in heels and for as much as she used to wear them, her feet now hurt her very quickly when she wears them on the weekend -

Re: spinoff to heels
I'm more comfortable in heels than flats.
I'm a trainer, so I'm often on my feet all day and I have no issues in 4 inch heels.
BUT, I will say that I can tell if I've gained weight because the thinner I am the longer I can go. When I'm heavier I have a harder time at the end of the day.
