Spinoff to flight and infants sleep...

My dd has grown very accustomed to napping in her crib and really doesn notl fall asleep in the car or in the stroller. Am I setting myself up for a disaster of a flight on an upcoming trip? She will have just turned one by then and we are taking her on as a lap child.

Anyone have a similar situation? Would love to hear your experiences/advice. Thanks!

My DD and DS are 10 months old now and we went on a trip about a week ago. DD conked out before take off and napped throughout, and DS fell asleep for a bit during the flight. Maybe its the sound or whatever, but DS isn't even a great crib napper and he was lulled to sleep in our arms.

This is DD. She is 18mo and she has been on 8 flights and will not sleep on the plane (whether she is in our lap or in a seat). Because of this we book the earliest flight in the day so we can try to squeeze in most of the travel before the "im tired' meltdown occurs.

Does your DD fall sleep in the car? If so I think it's kind of the same feeling for them.

There's really no way to know. My DD is a pretty good napper - usually sleeps in the crib, but will fall asleep in the stroller or car if needed. We recently flew cross country at nap time and she was in her car seat and she stayed awake the entire flight.
