Spinoff to EVERY Britney post
Do you think that the fact that she STILL has custody of her children is a reflection of the poor job children's services is doing or do you think there is something we're not seeing which is the reason why she still has custody??

I think legal matters move very slowly, even when it seems "obvious" to the rest of us. Look at how long it took to just get a DNA test of Anna Nicole's baby.
Plus, you rarely see Brit with the kids, so I'm thinking K-Fed (or someone else) has them for a good portion of her 50%, something that is probably pretty powerful evidence when he goes to modify the custody arrangement.

Karen makes a good point about the legal system being slow...but at the same time, I think they do make certain allowances for celebrities.
We were just talking about this RE: Pete Dougherty last night. He's just been banned from London. Like he's not allowed in the city! Why not just throw him in jail???? he's been arrested SOOOOOOOO many times!!!
Back to Brit, though, I never thought I'd ever think this, but I really believe they'd be better off with K-Fed!

I'm sure someone in her camp is calling the paps everytime she's out doing something motherly with her kids.
He was probably advised to stay out of the spotlight to help his custody case.

You don't. And that's exactly the way he wants it.
He can use that to show the courts that he keeps his kids out of the spotlight......I think it makes him a pretty good dad.

You have to have alot of true facts not just probable cause to get your kids taken from you here in cali. My ex neighbor was horrific and even drugged her child so she could party and CPS said well we didn't see it ,even after many complaints and a statement from me when I witnessed her setting her house on fire,nodda
she kept the kids and eventually moved away  Unfortunately it sometimes takes a tragedy for them to respond...often it's too late by then

I'm not a Britney fan. I think she's a complete skank.
However I think it rightfully takes a lot more than a single mom drinking, flashing your panties (or crotch) to have CPS take your children away from you.
She's photographed at night - her kids must be in bed by 7pm?

Quite a few of her recent photos were clearly during the day, but I see what you are saying. Plus, one could also argue she is working during the day, and who really brings their kids to work. It just seems weird to me that 90% of the time she is photographed she is without her kids. Since the paparazzi clearly stake out her every move, you think they would catch her with them more often, just based on statistics.
I think K-Fed is clearly trying to stay out of the spotlight, while she is trying to stay in it (all the while complaining that she is constantly in it).

She isn't probably ever fully responsible for her kids, there are probably always people in the background, but who wants a picture of her Nanny??? I wonder if she has ever really taken care of those kids on here own.

ITA, but I only wish I ate too many peanut M&Ms!
Plus, CPS does whatever they can to keep families together and not rip them apart so unless there is blatant neglect or abuse, they will keep them together with support. Brittany has so much support with her entourage/nannies/etc. around all the time so until she does something drastic or refuses to have help and then screws up royally, she will be allowed to have custody.
