spinoff to established plaques....what year do you put?
The year you got married or the year you bought the house? I am thinking the year you got married would really be when the family was established.

If the plaque says
"The Smith Family" then it's the year you got married.
If it says
"the Smith House"
then it's the year you bought the house.
