Spinoff to digital cameras
I looove my digital cameras (yes, I have more than one ) yet I can't seem to get rid of my film camera.
So, does anyone still have a film camera that is sitting in a drawer? And why do you still have it?

It's somewhere - I wouldn't just throw it out, although I doubt I'm going to use it again.

Re: Spinoff to digital cameras
We bought a film camera for our honeymoon. In the event that we were going on an excursion and lost the digital, everything we took up until then would be gone if we lost it. So we bought an inexpensive film camera and a disposable. When we went on a boat or in the water, we had something to use without worrying about it.

Re: Spinoff to digital cameras
I still have a Pentax SLR. Haven't used it in years, but it's still a better quality camera than pretty much any digital camera. I can also do more "effects" with the manual camera. Infinite exposure time, manual focus, etc. I just don't have the time to use it.

I still have a film camera (along with my digital) and I love it. For some reasons I think the pics come out better. Plus with digital I tend not to "develop" the photos and they just sit on my comp.
