Spinoff to cremation
Has anyone heard of, used, or interested in LifeGem ?
I've heard about it a few years ago. I'm not sure if I'd want to wear my mom on a ring, or have DW or DC wear me on a necklace.... I think it's nicer than an urn of ashes, but I don't like the urn idea, either.

Re: Spinoff to cremation
I have heard of it since my MIL indicated she wanted her ashes in a Christmas ornament.
Do you know how many ornaments my kids have broken?!!
I told her I'd only do it if she comes back as a diamond.

Re: Spinoff to cremation
I don't think I'd have one made with my parents remains, but I could definately see doing it if god forbid I lost one of my children. I just can't imagine not having them with me, so it would maybe help that hurt a little.

That's a nice alternative to traditional creamation.

I agree. At first I was skeptical but if it brings someone comfort, why not?

Re: Spinoff to cremation
That seems SO expensive It just doesn't seem accessible to the average person out there since the least expensive gem is the yellow diamond at $2700
So many companies offer what they call "Keepsake Jewelry".....things you can put a small amount of cremated remains into & wear.
My sister has one with her best friend in it. My other sister has one with Grandma in it
Link to pendants The actual Madelyn Pendants site seems to be under construction, but you get the idea! More affordable!
