spinoff to Bedding Clarification post...
Are mobiles also dangerous? I see online that they mention entanglement issues for when the baby is big enough to reach up. What month is that? I am just trying to figure out if a mobile is even worth it.
thanks!

I don't think mobiles are dangerous if you use common sense. Every child will be different about when they will try to reach for it. We didn't put DD in her crib until she was 8 months, so she never really used the mobile to sleep, but she did enjoy it a little during the day to play with w/ me in the room.

I personally have not heard of any mobile issues, but I think that once baby can stand or reach in the crib it would be time to take it out.

Re: spinoff to Bedding Clarification post...
i also felt most mobiles that came with bedding was not worth it cause once they can reach it you are supposed to remove it.
I do like the ones that you can detach the mobile part and it projects somthing to the wall cause you can use for a very long time. I went with one of those.
Plus most mobiles didnt fit my crib

i have the Fisher-Price Precious Planet 2-in-1 Projection Mobile and i really like it. I am not one into making sure everythign matched my theme so i was ok using this with DD. She loves it at 2.5 she still use it on her toddler bed (crib converted to toddler bed)
i think tinylove makes on now and fisher price makes another kind too.

We used a mobile until she was able to reach it. That didn't happen until she was about 6 months or so. A lot of them don't fit right on the newer style cribs, so that's something to consider as well. We have and love the fisher price aquarium that attaches to the side of the crib. We loved it even more once she figured out how to turn it on herself, too

we have the fisher price ocean wonder mobile and she loves it. never had a problem with her trying to pull on any of the fish but I think that's because she's to busy pushing the buttons to turn the music on and have the mobile spin. we had to lower her mattress again so she now she can't even touch the fish.lol

This. I'm not ordering a bedding set so just paying for the mobile for a little bit isn't that big of a deal to me.
