Spinoff to babysitter rates

Just curious, how much does everyone pay their sitter for two kids. I have a 3 mos old and a two yr old. I hired a college girl for one day a week and the kids are in daycare the other two. I am going to pay her 13. an hour which I thought was high but a friend told me her daughter easily gets 15. an hour to babysit. I hired the sitter so I can save money on daycare but I am really not saving that much. Now some of my friends say that I am paying her too much an hour.. I don''t know !

i am going ot pay 75 a day to my regular sitter come september for 2 kids 5 months and 2 yrs. hours are 7-330

It's usually cheaper per day than per hour.

You know, I never thought of a flat rate per day. That does seem to work out a lot better. I should have done better research beforehand ! Her hours would be 8 to 5:30 so it works out to like 120 per day. That does seem high.

Is she coming to your house? If so, then it's a bit different and sounds about right. If you drop at her house, for 1 child it's around $45-60 per day.

Yes, she is coming to my house plus said she would do laundry for the kids and straighten up etc.

Then it's not a bad deal. A bit high but it's reasonable. I think!
