Spinoff on the Helmet Moms Thread...Can you tell me about your experience?

DS just got his helmet yesterday. So far though he has been totally unaffected. Slept fine last night and is still very cheerful. Can you tell me how old your DC was when they started the helmet and how long they were in it? Any things to look out for...the other thread let me know I need to watch for him banging his head!

DS is 5 months (4 adjusted) and they are telling me that he should only be in it for 6-8 weeks. Thanks ladies!

My son was almost 7 months old when he got his helmet and he stopped wearing it the day before his birthday. So he wore it for about 5 months. His case was a bit on the severe side and he started later. He adjusted really well to wearing it and then to not wearing it! Like I said on the other thread . . He did bump his head a few times when he got the helmet off but he quickly realized that it hurt I am very happy with the results!! Anybody who didn't know him then says they can't tell there was ever anything wrong with his head. The only time I really notice it anymore is when I'm standing above him rinsing his hair in the bath. Good Luck!!
