I need a rug that measures about 9 x 11. I know they really don't make area rugs in this size, so I was thinking of buying a 9 x 12 and having 6 inches cut off each end and bound. Is that crazy? I don't want to use a remnant because I want the look of an area rug (with a nice pattern - not just plain carpet).

Any other ideas?
