Spinning question
I want to start to take spinning classes at my gym. Do I need special sneakers or clothing or can I just wear my normal sneakers and workout clothes?

Re: Spinning question
Just use your sneakers for now. I wear capri legging type pants and an under armour tank. The pedals have the cages. Cycling shoes are $100 a pair so I recommend waiting to see if you like the class first.

Re: Spinning question
I definitely recommend wearing legging-type bottoms, whether they're knee length or longer. I tried wearing running shorts once and it was very uncomfortable. But as far as sneakers go, ITA that you can just wear whatever you've got as long as they're supportive.

Re: Spinning question
I agree def wear either capri length or full length pants. I made the mistake too once of wearing shorts and OMG it was a horrible experience. Just wear your regular sneakers to see if you like it first. I love to spin and do it 2x a week and wore sneakers for 2 years b/c I was cheap to get spin shoes! Well I finally got them 2 months ago and what a difference I wish I would have gotten them a long time ago!

I have been wearing capri length pants and a sports bra tank top
You get ridiciously sweaty so it is wise to wear a shirt that will absorb the sweat
also def wear a ponytail and maybe a headband
and WATER
i wear my regular sneakers but i may invest in a spinning pair at some pt

ditto. i get crazy sweaty and wan as little on my body as possible without scaring people and the hair in the face drives me nuts!
i'm also considering investing in spinning shoes. EVERYONE at my gym seems to use them; i hear it's a better workout on your legs.

Re: Spinning question
I started with one spin class a week just wearing my regular work out clothes and running sneakers. Once I kicked it up to 2 days a week, I had to invest in the shorts that have padding in the butt and ****** area bc I got sore.
Def. keep your hair away from your face.
Wear moisture absorbing tops.
And...go easy. I did it hard core for 8 weeks and ended up in PT with patellar tendonitis.
