Spinn off to in a job what is more important
I am in the middle of salary negotiations for a new job. (Woo hoo finally -- I have been looking for a new job since November).
What kinds of benefits should I look out for?
I already have healthcare through DH so I will ask for the $ for that. Is there anything else that you can recommend?

Retirement Plan
Vacation, sick & personal time
Flex plans
Life insurance
I am sure there's more, that's all I can think of.

a good 401K matching program, dental, vision or both if your DH doesn't have that already.

You should have the basics for health benefits, life insurance..etc..
You may be able to negotiate an individual life policy that's not part of the group, also an individual disability policy and stock options.
Find out when you are eligible for profit sharing and what the vesting period is for the 401(k) plan.
Finally, if a bonus is discussed, get it in writing. You may be able to get a sign on bonus.
