Spin Off...Bath Rings....

I was thinking of buying the bath ring that they sell in the One Step Ahead Catalog...however, my younger son is almost a year old....is he too old for it? He sits up fine but I would be nervous to sit him up in the big tub with my older son without some kind of support (suction cups)

Re: Spin Off...Bath Rings....

i am in the same position..
my boys are not ready for the tub on their own.. but i figure i would just save the money and just wait till they can sit and not fall over.

so for now we are still using the infant tub.

Re: Spin Off...Bath Rings....

I agree with the others that he probably is too old for it. My son is 11 months old and always has been big for his age. As soon as he outgrew the infant tub and could sit up by himself, I just put him in the big tub. Of course, its annoying because he loves to stand in the tub and walk around holding onto the sides but we have never had an issue.

Re: Spin Off...Bath Rings....

My DD is 20 months old and sits in the bath ring. I think it depends on how big your DS is. My DD is small for her age (about 15-25th %tile) and is not very steady all the time sitting on her own. So we still use it and she is fine in there. And just for reference, she is 21lbs and 31 inches.

Hmmm, maybe he would still fit then. He is small for his age - only 17 pounds and 27 inches.

My guys are almost 10 mos and I would be lost without those bath rings! They fit into the great and love them and I don't intend on taking them out anytime soon!

DS is 12m and still using the bath ring. I tried not to use it tonight and he kept standing and trying to climb out so he went back in. I hope he doesnt grow out of it for a while.

funny you should post this, I've been looking into them and was going to post for recommendations. DS is definitely getting too big for the sink!

Re: Spin Off...Bath Rings....

this may be a really dumb question but I never really got the bath ring...how do you clean their privates if they are sitting in that thing? Seems like a hassle to me.
