Spin off... What mattress?
What mattress did you get for your kid's "big bed"?
I'm shocked with the prices! I guess I expected mattresses to be $300. At the same time, it will be theirs for a while so I want something decent.

Spin off... What mattress?
Big bed like a regular size mattress? Twin or full? Its going to be like paying for a mattress for yourself.
My daughters in a full size bed. I paid about $435 at sleepys during a sale. Its a firm mattress with a slight pillow top. They don't weigh a lot now so it should last a VERY long time.
Wait until labor day for sales.
