Spin-Off to Schedule C Section Question
If you do have a scheduled c-section, is it usually scheduled before, on, or after your due date? It looks like I will be having one, but we haven't talked dates yet so I'm curious. TIA!

Usually always before but around 39 weeks. Don't want to do it too early and make sure the baby is ready, but not too late where you could go into labor.

my ob scheduled it at 39 weeks. 39 weeks happen to fall on a saturday for me so it will be that monday
i think it depends on the hospital's rules. good sam will let doctors take babies as early as 38w, but southside (where i'm delivering) makes them wait till 39w

I believe without medical necessity they are not allowed to schedule before 39wks. I was scheduled at 39wk3d. I was afraid I'd go into labor before then but I made it!

My Dr said they aim for 1 week before, but not sooner. For me, 1 week before is a Sunday, so it will probably be Mon or Tue of that week.

Mine was scheduled for when i was 37 weeks, but i went into labor at 36 weeks and i had it then. I had high blood pressure and GD, if you have a normal pregnancy it is usually scheduled for 39 weeks.

Spin-Off to Schedule C Section Question
I am high risk bc of a uterine rupture, and both my ob and high risk Dr have agreed to schedule me for 36w unless my uterus becomes irritated. If I have any contractions at all I am at risk of a repeat rupture.
