I would love to see quick and easy which would help me as a working mom and also seasonal or special holiday type dishes to bring to a gathering.

All of them Chat Icon

I think it depends on your specific target demographic and what they need/want most.

SPIN OFF to my own post - Cooking Class Menu (WITH POLL)

I think quick, healthy and easy. I absolutely love cooking. Making great complete nutritious meals is so satisfying to me. Here's the problem: it's a burden and a PITA with 3 kids running amok! I can't seem to get anything else done. I think many people take in or eat out for this reason. Maybe people want to be healthier and cook at home but don't know how... You have great ideas

Thanks so much!

I struggle with the same issues, it's so much harder cooking with kids running around and interrupting. I've learned some ways around it and that's the type of thing I'd love to share with others. We're all busy moms but you can definitely get some yummy homemade food on the table without spending 15 hrs in the kitchen. Chat Icon

Quick and Easy but healthy, and to add a twist, kid friendly, all at the same time. I work until 4-5pm and by the time we get home sometimes it's 6/630 (DS goes to bed at 7/730). I need to make dinner quickly!

I think for a party format, the desserts would be ideal. For a true learning experience, the quick and easy meals would probably be better.

I think offering all of them would be better because u're giving a customer more choices to choose from but since u're just gonna be starting, I'd stick with quick and easy and then gradually add more classes.

Some how take one protein and cook it similar but different.
Like a chicken. Show me how to make a quick meal, how to make a healthy meal, how to make an invite someone over meal, etc. That way no matter what I have on hand I can always do something with it.

I agree. I'd like to do a beginner/basics class, cooking class where you can choose from various menus, and then 1-2 specialty classes that change monthly.

As a FTWM I would be most interested in quick and easy meals followed by appetizers and desserts but I love to bake.

I think you should add make ahead and/or freezer meals.

I'm a fairly accomplished cook, but during the school year with sports, religion, and my own work appointments, it's not always easy to get it done. So I would be interested in some of these ideas.

Also, we are a family of 3 and often have leftovers, so - while I realize it wouldn't work for a cooking class demo - I would love to get bonus recipes of ways to transform leftovers if you prepare some dishes that have a large yield. These could just be "bonuses" in the packet.

I love your idea! I enjoy cooking and have often wished I could do something income-producing with my hobby. I wish you lots of luck if you decide to pursue this!

I cook pretty often and have a decently wide range of what I can cook. I don't know that I'd pay to take a class for quick and easy meals because I can do that on my own, so I would actually say more complex meals. Maybe different ethnic foods- I'd love to learn to make food from other cultures and have no idea how to.
