Spin off to introducing food
I have no clue what I'm doing
Should I start now at 4 months or wait?
Skip rice cereal and go straight to oatmeal cereal?
Fruits and veggies....organic or no? I think organic but what brand? Plum? Earths best? Gerber organic?
Just when I got a schedule down for the bottles now I have to introduce food. What is the schedule like now? Am I giving her the bottles same as before, ounces and time?
Please help meeeeeeeeeee

Re: Spin off to introducing food
Wait until you get the ok from your doctor. We started at about 4.5 mos., after her 4 month checkup.
At first the purpose is for them to practice eating. It's not replacing any bottles. You can give a little bit 1x/day between 2 bottles.
You can do rice, fruits, veggies. Anything you want! But give one thing for 3-4 days before switching to something new so if there's a reaction, you know what it's from.
Have fun!

Spin off to introducing food
You don't have to introduce food now. I didn't do it until 5 months. The AAP recommends 6 months. I started with veggies. She just turned 6 months and just started fruits. I would skip the rice/oatmeal. It has little nutritional value. I keep reminding myself she doesn't need this food,...it's just practice. I have friends who use all the brands you posted. No complaints . I am trying homemade for now. There is no rush.

Spin off to introducing food
If you're not ready, then wait. Do your research on what kinds of foods you feel comfortable with. You have plenty of time for this!! Based in what I read, we felt it was important to hold off solids until 6mo. But your research may lead you elsewhere.
We skipped cereal bc it can be constipating and has little nutritional value. Started with avocado, then sweet potato.
DD is 2 and a food lover!!

Re: Spin off to introducing food
I started at 6 months with avocado and sweet potato (mashed up). If you are giving jarred food, I would do organic. I waited on grains until 10 months. I never gave rice cereal. I Wanted to start with egg yolks at 6 months but dd couldn't tolerate it until around 10 or 11 months.
