spin-off to incompetent cervix
how does the Dr. find out your cervix is short / incompetent if standard protocol does not include doing an internal from week 12- 30-something?
does it show-up on a regular sono? or do other symptoms suggest it causing the dr to do an internal?

the sono tech has measured my cervix at every sonogram so far, not sure what will happen with an external sono

I agree, I think they look at it at every sonogram.

Same here. I was good two weeks ago and then it dropped. I had no symptons at all. Apperantly, the contractions were silent.
I am also high risk, so I go bi-weekly and every time I get in internal sono. NOw, after this episode I have to go every week.

It will def show on a regular sono and/or if you expericiencing cramping/contractions.

ok that's good to know.... I haven't had an internal in over a month... at least I have my level II in 2 weeks...
It sounded scary to me to possibly have a problem w/ my cervix and not know about it, and have no one check it! That's a relief that they're checking it......
